Welcome to the Masquerade!

Quick note. Guys go Buy "Welcome to the Masquerade" by Thousand Foot Krutch! It is without a doubt the best Alt Metal Album I have ever heard! Personal favourites include "Fire it up" (which is featured on G.I. Joe Rise of the Cobra,) "Scream" (which was used at the scream awards) and Smack Down (which just plain rocks). The album is much like a fusion of their hit album Phenomenon and their latestest album "the Flame in All of us". It features heavy Riffs and a couple of very nice solo's and Trevor's thick Heavy Vocals. 9/10

I'm practically drooling.

Hawk Nelson's new album and stuff

Hawk Nelson unveiled a new single at canada's Wonderland where they shared the stage with TFK and Relient K.

It's called Live life loud the start of the song is very ambiet and strong but it seems to petter of alittle before picking up to finsih well. Sounds very good though but maybe not as strong as Friend like that or several other Hawk Nelson songs. I'd give it a 6.5 or 7/10. Listen too it here.

and a Live version of Monster here.

Monster will be realesed as a single on July 14th.

Hero's lyrics are deep and meaningful as always and both you thinking and deeply involve you with every part of the song, making us realise that we do need a hero. The last 20 seconds of the song are the best in my opinion, very much like Whisper in the dark with finish. a definite 9.5/10

Monster is Dark, Thrashed, Sick and Heavy and I Love every moment of it! Although the intro and the growl have to be the best parts, sadly I have heard rumors that the growl may not be in the studio version. Again a 9.5/10. Both these songs have left me wanting more.

New TFk Single

Thousand Foot Krutch has just released their latest single from their upcoming Album Welcome to the Masquerade. It is called Forward Motion.

They have also started playing two other songs live "Bring me to life" which is avalible for legal download on the band's facebook and "fire it up" which can be watched live here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PP3Gs5AzbvE&feature=related

Forward motion is good and has very strong electrics although much less Bass than previous TFk songs and less reliance on Trevor's Vocals which does downgrade it. However it is still a great song. I'd give it a 7.5/10

Bring me to life is an Ambiant, heavy crunchy song with strong bass and a much more rapped TFk style vocals, one of the best TFk songs of all time in my opinion made better by a susseful fusion of a keyboard into the song, somthing tfk has never done before. a 9.5/10

Fire it up promises to me another heavier song, with Trevor mentioning at live preformance that the song will be on the EA 2010 Video game. It features both strong bass and Rythem Electrics while incorporating a good drum beat. I'm a huge fan of the whispered bridge. Without hearing a studio version I don't know what to think as songs often sound very differant live from the studio verson but at this stage i'd rate it an 8/10
